Quiet on the Blog

My blog has been quiet for a few weeks but my house sure hasn't.  The next weekend after visiting Dan and Tiffany in Battleford, we headed back to Saskatchewan.

We arrived in Swift Current on Saturday, June 23rd and checked into our hotel and went out to Bruce and Lynne's for tea.
We always enjoy spending time with Bruce and Lynne.  We have spent times over the years visiting, playing games, enjoying lots of tea and desserts, cross country adventures and especially watching our children/grandchildren grow.

The following morning we went to our old church.  We had been invited to attend a farewell for Pastor Paul and Tammy Israelson.  (Thank you June for inviting us!)  We had so enjoyed Paul and Tammy's ministry while we were living there and even after when we went to Deschambault Lake and were able to check in on services via the internet.  There kids have grown up so much.  The family will be moving to Saskatoon where Paul will take on the responsibilities of District Superintendent for the Saskatchewan District of the Pentecostal Assemblies.

After a great lunch and a wonderful celebration of Paul and Tammy, we headed to Calgary where we checked into a hotel.  It was a last quiet night for awhile.  The next morning, we flew to Ottawa and shortly after arriving at our hotel, things got LOUD.
We stayed that night in a hotel in Ottawa with our three travellers after saying goodbye to Jenn, Abby, Anthony and our wonderful friend, Hilda who had driven with Jenn to Ottawa.  The next morning, we got ourselves to the airport.
And once we were on the plane, our adventure began.

We spent that night (Tuesday) at our son's where the kids got introduced to Tanker and Beemer (and Lilly).

The next day (Wednesday), we all went to Calgary Zoo.

The next day (Thursday), we all drove to Drumheller to the Dinosaur museum.

That night Ron and Uncle S. took the kids to the pool while I rested and recovered from a busy week.  The next morning, we loaded up the truck and headed south.
Along the way, we stopped at the Bar U Ranch for a picnic and a walk around.  It was quite interesting.

Finally, we made it to Pincher Creek!
We have been keeping busy with drives, games, walks, hikes, parks and just lots of eating and fun!

Stay tuned for more adventures to come!
